Expandable Air Shaft

The air shaft is a special shaft used for winding and unwinding. The shaft is created by the keys on the surface, which expand when high-pressure gas is filled in the shaft. Air shafts are easy to operate, as users only need to supply air with the air pressure controlled within 6-8 kg/cm². To inflate the air shaft, simply use the air valve, when users want to lock the core. To deflate the air shaft, simply press the air valve to release the air from the shaft, this will cause the keys to revert to their original position. Then, the core can be easily removed.

Air shafts include key types (made of steel or alloy) and leaf types. They are widely used in winding, rewinding, and slitting machines, finding applications in industries such as printing, packaging, plastics, paper, glass, pharmaceuticals, electronic batteries, textile machinery, and more.
