Differential Shaft

Differential shafts (also known as ‘slip chucks’ or ‘ball chucks’) are fitted to the rewind shafts of slitter rewinders to eliminate tension variances that can develop due to (sometimes very minor) material thickness variations across the parent roll.

Outside of the outer diameter of the main body is 75.5mm in operation, with the largest diameter outside measuring 78mm at maximum. Standard widths are available in 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 35mm, 40mm, and 50mm. Additionally, there are standard options within the outer diameters of 50mm, 55mm, and 60mm (non-standard sizes can be produced based on customer demand).
