Seamless ITR Flexography

Seamless ITR Flexography

Tailored for flexographic printing, our seamless ITR (In-The-Round) sleeves are synthetic photopolymer sleeves designed for hassle-free installation outside the press. These sleeves are intended for use after the design extrusion phase and are perfect for conventional plate mounting.
  • ITR Flexo printing for short- and long runs, as well as standard- and high-quality printing.
  • Business forms, packaging for food and drinking products, and corrugated carton material.
  • Other flexible substrates: labels, envelopes, wallpaper, wrapping paper, newspapers, textiles, foil, etc.
  1. These sleeves are pre-manufactured using a range of materials, including thermoplastic composites, thermoset composites, and nickel.
  2. Each sleeve is a continuous, seamless structure with a photopolymer layer coated with LAM, making it fully prepared for imaging, exposure, and processing.
  3. “Thin” sleeves are produced without foam or cushioning, designed for cost-effective use and disposal after one-time use.
  4. For achieving exceptional print quality, long-lasting sleeves with a foam or cushion base are employed, particularly for high-quality, long-run printing.
  5. The majority of sleeves are processed using solvent-based chemistry processors.

    • Versatility enables printing on a diverse range of porous or non-porous flexible substrates.
    • Achieve high-quality ink transfer with solvent-based, water-based, or UV-curable inks.
    • Enjoy excellent print quality with minimal dot gain and zero distortion or skew errors.
    • Quick and safe mounting procedures ensure swift turnaround times.
    • Tight tolerances (TIR < 0.02 mm) contribute to enhanced stability.
    • Our highly durable sleeves are not only water-washable but also easy to store, resulting in minimal maintenance requirements.
    • Experience cost savings compared to alternative technologies, including reduced inventory and tooling expenses.
    • Retrofit Ability: While the cost of retrofitting cylinders to older press equipment can be somewhat discouraging, it’s worth noting that nearly any existing print cylinder can be adapted for sleeve mounting.
    • Handling: It’s important to handle sleeves with care to avoid reduced wear resistance and susceptibility to cuts. Thinner base sleeves require even more delicate handling.
    • Storage: Managing and cataloguing sleeves for high-quality repeat work can pose challenges.
    • Cost: Sleeves typically incur a higher cost per square meter compared to flat plates. However, the savings associated with mounting elimination, higher press speeds, and extended run lengths justify the expense.
    • Time: Acquiring ITR sleeves can take several days, but lead times can improve with increased capacity.
